The ‘call’ to take the message of Christ worldwide, in a holistic way is a central value of SIM. Mission personnel within SIM are increasingly multicultural, reflecting the diversity of the body of Christ.

Globalisation is changing the face of the world in many ways, including the ways in which we take Christ to the nations. There is more emphasis on strengthening and encouraging the local churches through pastoral and leadership development and equipping local missionaries. We also promote skills development and assist in compassion ministries which don't have sufficient local staff. Youth, women and children are a special focus.
